Ultimately, they are two storytellers who have teamed up for a truly unique project. Ermanno Curti and Gianmarco Lepore, both in their thirties, have been family friends since childhood, and starting with Ermanno's disability, born with Down syndrome, they decided to open a social media account with the meaningful name "Distributors of Happiness" (@distributori_di_felicita), to spread kindness, optimism, joy of living (despite hardship and pain), and generosity.
The great thing about the couple is that their Instagram and TikTok pages have garnered huge influencer followings (over 400 combined), but they've never capitalized on this to turn the project into a money-making machine. Well-established in Bassiano, a medieval village of 1.400 inhabitants in the province of Latina, Ermanno and Gianmarco tell stories, post videos, and capture moments of everyday life: all to demonstrate how much wealth and well-being can be hidden in the little things, the things we often don't even consider, underestimate, and waste.
More than life lessons and advice, the conversations between Ermanno & Gianmarco seem like mini-conversations, full of irony, lightheartedness, and simplicity. Precious life insights for those who listen and comment on them.
Meanwhile, always together, Ermanno and Gianmarco have written a book, It won't be a rose, but a fantastic sunflower. We, friends, almost brothers. (Edizioni De Agostini) which recounts their experience and the depth of their human relationship.
