Two lives, one animal and the other human, that help each other, and are not wasted. EquiAzione is a unique experience in Italy that connects abused , abandoned, or slaughtered horses with people with disabilities or other mental and physical challenges.
EQUIATION
The enormous riding stable is located in the Castelli Romani area, in a valley at the foot of Mount Artemisio, between the towns of Rocca Priora, Rocca di Papa, and Velletri. Here, disabled people and adults alike can undergo assisted therapy, similar to donkeys. The horse becomes a lifelong companion, and each takes care of the other throughout the day. "More than being on the horse, you're with the horse," they say at the Castelli Romani riding stable.

The therapeutic program also includes horseback riding, trekking , and herding—all with the goal of guiding the children toward a gradual transition into normal life, and perhaps even the world of work. The facility also includes an inn, where training activities are offered, and co-housing.
