A business's continuity is its true value, something that is often squandered due to succession issues and poor management of generational transitions. Stefano Conti , however, with great foresight and equal generosity, did the opposite, teaching a lesson to many small entrepreneurs who continue to obsessively equate business with family.

THE STORY OF STEFANO CONTI

Aware of having been struck by an incurable disease at just 56 years old, Stefano, a few months before his death, arranged an orderly succession plan for his company, Elettroservice , a small jewel of Made in Italy in the air conditioning service and maintenance sector. How? Eighty percent of the company's assets went to his employees , who had worked with Stefano for many years and contributed to Elettroservice's success. This was a recognition of their work , but also a sign of the continuity of a company history that doesn't end with the passing of its founder.

The remaining 20 percent went to Tiziana Tancredi , a lawyer and Stefano Conti's wife, and their son Emanuele . They will then decide whether they want to continue making a professional contribution to the company with this share, or whether they will simply collect their share of dividends. When they arrive. "Stefano always looked ahead, even from his hospital bed where he knew he was doomed," says his wife Tiziana. "So he called a notary and dictated his precise intention to hand over control of the company to the young men." And they will be the ones to continue Stefano Conti's adventure.
