EFFETTO PALLA ONLUS
We were born sick, sick in spirit. We've always felt so deeply connected to the world of living things that the caption Homo has always seemed reductive. Born in a time when the concept of animality was still difficult to grasp, and in a society still stingy with feelings toward living beings different from us, we nourished ourselves with caresses, hugs, and animal friendships [...] We'd long had the idea of creating something that would be a tool for our wonderful madness. Palla had us cornered: we no longer had any excuses. These words come from the Two Seas Veterinary Clinic of Oristano, which thanks to the rescue of a little dog (the little ball that gives the association its name) he found the right motivation to open a non-profit organization to help four-legged friends in difficulty and suffering, the so-called “nobody's animals”.
THE LITTLE BALL DOG
Let's retrace the steps of the founding of the nonprofit organization, starting with the story of its "inspirer." When she was found, it was initially difficult to determine her race: a nylon noose around the neck had completely distorted Palla's physiognomy and features, the dog recovered in Terralba, a small village in the province of Oristano, and then taken to the Two Seas Veterinary Clinic of Oristano where she was treated.
THE STORY OF PALLA
Palla is fine now, she has almost completely deflated, she was adopted by Dr. Monica Pais who, together with the clinic staff, took care of her, and has become the testimonial of the Foundation in her name, Effetto Palla Onlus, through which the Due Mari Clinic helps animals abandoned, sick and injured, he takes care of them and, once they are fully healthy, he tries to adopt them.
In the video, the interview in which Dr. Monica Pais shows the nylon noose and introduces us to Palla:

PALLA, DUE MARI VETERINARY CLINIC
Palla, reduced to skin and bones, had been found wandering the Terralba countryside in a desperate search for food, stealing chicken feed to survive and, as already mentioned, with a nylon noose around her neck that almost decapitated her and which had swollen her head beyond measure, creating a very deep wound.
Palla, a beautiful Pit Bull, was only six months old when she was found with that 15 centimeter long tourniquet that was no longer allowing her blood to flow properly. The recovery was long and at times even uncertain but Palla, little by little, also supported by the affection of the thousands of users who constantly asked for news about her health, began to eat regularly again, regaining weight and deflating.
Here she is now, in top form:
Looking at your sad and suffering Palla we realize the enormous human cruelty and how necessary it is to intervene adequately to combat abandonment and mistreatment of animals.
Time Palla is happy, surrounded by the affection of Dr. Pais, of the excellent doctors at the Clinic, and of the many people who come to visit her every day and shower her with gifts., food, blankets and personalized pillows that the dog willingly gives to the "junk animals" in care who need them most.
THE "WRECK" OF THE DUE MARI VETERINARY CLINIC
Among the latest arrivals is Leo, a cat with a very serious and neglected form of mange that has left him blind:
THE EFFETTO PALLA ONLUS ASSOCIATION
Many "junk" have passed through the Due Mari Veterinary Clinic, and many more arrive there every day: and it is precisely to help them and find them a home and a family that loves them that the association was born "Effetto Palla Onlus"You can support the association's activities by donating 5 per thousand or through a donation.
THE ACTIVITIES OF THE EFFETTO PALLA ONLUS ASSOCIATION
An important activity carried out by the Due Mari Veterinary Clinic, and an example that we hope will spread more and more in every Italian region, to help the animals Especially with the arrival of summer, holidays, and car trips, as unfortunately happens every year, they will be abandoned. Remember that animals are loyal friends; they become part of the family, not a pastime. Adopting an animal must always be a conscious choice made from the heart. Animal abandonment is a crime punishable by fines of up to 10 euros and imprisonment of up to one year for those guilty..
