- A Ruvo di Puglia There is a network of five solidarity bakeries that run the "suspended bread" project, which works like the more famous Neapolitan "suspended coffee." In Ruvo di Puglia, people who buy bread from the network's bakeries can leave their change in small change in a special piggy bank. The donations are then checked by volunteers and redistributed as "bread vouchers" for the poorest. The initiative is sponsored by theDepartment of Social Policies of the Municipality of Ruvo di Puglia and the participating bakeries are the following: “Di Vittorio Bakery"in via Valle Noè, "La Spiga Bakery"in corso G.
