Expenses for children's sports and gyms can be deducted

A discount on personal income tax equal to 19 percent of the expenditure incurred.

Expenses for children's sports activities, on a large scale, are deductible at 19 percent of the cost incurred when filing your personal income tax return. 

The requirements for obtaining the tax deduction also apply to memberships to gyms, swimming pools, and sports associations, and have the following characteristics:

  • the deduction is equal to 19 percent of the expense incurred and documented
  • up to a maximum of €210 for each child
  • the son must be fiscally dependent
  • age between And 5 18 years

The expenditure must be made in recognized facilities (amateur sports associations or suitable sports facilities) and must be included in the 730 form.
