LIQUID DISHWASHER DETERGENT

A simple and effective product for always having clean and sparkling dishes without polluting the environment and saving on expensive industrial detergents. Let's see how to make it with our reader Alessia's video recipe for making an excellent homemade dishwashing detergent with natural ingredients.

Necessary

  • 350 g of baking soda
  • 20 g of liquid Marseille soap or eco-bio hand dishwashing detergent (based on plant derivatives)
  • 150 g of very hot demineralized (or oligomineralized) water
  • A few drops of sweet orange essential oil (or lemon or any other EO you like)
  • 20 g of vegetable glycerin (optional)

Method

  • Combine the baking soda, detergent, glycerin, and essential oil, stirring thoroughly.
  • Add the hot water and mix again for a long time with a small whisk, until you obtain a smooth, slightly foamy and fragrant cream.
  • Pour into a screw-top bottle.
  • Shake well before use and pour into the dishwasher tray a quantity of detergent cream corresponding to the minimum level indicated by the manufacturer (generally corresponding to 1-2 tablespoons).

How to use liquid detergent

It's a gentle, natural detergent ideal for washing dishes in the dishwasher. Just one or two tablespoons per wash is enough to leave dishes clean and naturally clean. The presence of essential oils, in addition to increasing the degreasing and disinfecting power (especially if you use a blend with thyme and lemon), will leave a delicate, natural scent at the end of the wash, very different from that of industrial, chemical dishwasher detergents (which are very harmful to the environment) or dishwasher deodorizers.
