How to calculate your ideal weight (VIDEO)

All it takes is a simple division: your weight divided by your height squared. And you'll know if you're overweight and at risk of obesity.

We can all know, in real time, if we are overweight. Ideal weight is an arithmetic calculation of the Body Mass Index (BMI), also called BMI (Body Mass Index)  – and it's very simple. Just divide your weight by the square of your height. And see how your index rank, according to this scale of values:

  • <18,5 → Underweight
  • 18,5-24,9 → Normal weight
  • 25-29,9 → Overweight
  • 30 ≥ → Obesity
