A hasty and superficial reading of food expiry dates is the antechamber to the food waste. There are two expiration dates. The first is contained in the "Best before" label: this means that the food is safe and tasty, even after the date written on the packaging. Its organoleptic qualities have simply been reduced. In the second case, however, the expiration date indicates a specific date, after which the food could see its bacterial load increase and even become dangerous (this type of expiration date, for example, applies to eggs, milk, and cheese). But this doesn't mean it should be thrown in the garbage: if anything, it can easily be reused in some specific way. Don't waste cooking recipe.
