Imagine a warm light filtering through the glass, tiny mushrooms that seem to have emerged from an enchanted forest, and a simple jar brought to life. Today we'll show you how to make it. a small DIY decorative lantern, using recycled materials and the technique of decoupageIt's a simple, relaxing project, perfect for creating a magical atmosphere in your home or on the balcony.
Necessary
- A recycled glass jar (like a jam jar)
- A paper napkin decorated with mushrooms
- Vinavil glue
- Some water
- A brush
- Scissors
- Spago
- A tea light
Method
Take the paper towel and gently remove the white veil, starting from one corner. You'll only need the decorated layer.
Cut out the mushrooms whatever you like, choosing them based on the size of the jar, to create a harmonious composition. Finish the cutouts with a pair of thin scissors.

In a small bowl prepare a mixture of Vinavil glue and a little water (about 80% glue and 20% water). Mix until smooth.
With the brush spread a layer of glue on the surface of the jarGently place the mushrooms and pat them dry with the brush to avoid creases.

Pass another layer of glue over the mushrooms to create a protective film. Don't worry if the glue is white: it will become completely transparent as it dries.

Continue gluing the other mushrooms until the decoration is complete. Let it dry good the jar.
Wrap the string around the jar and tie itIf you like, you can loop it from one side to the other to create a handle and hang the lantern.

Finally insert a tea light inside… and voilà, your lantern is ready.
