How to make chocolate tarts

Le tartlets with chocolate (strictly dark) are easy to prepare, with this recipe, and are very popular with children (it is a good solution for the snack) to adults (they make an excellent dessert).

Ingredients (for the shortcrust pastry)

  • 250 00 grams of flour
  • 120 grams of sugar
  • 120 g butter
  • 1 egg
  • The grated zest of half an orange

Ingredients for the filling

  • 200 gr chocolate
  • 150 grams of sugar
  • 120 g butter
  • 2 eggs

Preparation

  • Prepare the pastry by removing the butter from the refrigerator at least an hour beforehand so that it softens.
  • Grate the orange zest, arrange the flour in a fountain shape with the sugar and then pour the butter cut into cubes, the egg and the orange zest into the center.
  • Quickly knead until smooth and soft, then wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the chocolate cream by melting the butter and chopped chocolate in a bain-marie.
  • Beat the eggs with the sugar and, once frothy and light, pour in the melted butter and chocolate.
  • Roll out the pastry with a rolling pin and place it in the molds.
  • Pour a spoonful of inside chocolate cream and form the classic grid.
  • Bake at 180° for about 20 minutes.
  • As soon as the tartlets have cooled, sprinkle with icing sugar.
