The whims of the rich know no bounds. And sometimes they border on waste. This is not the case with the lifestyle choices made by Cesidio Di Ciacca, an established Scottish lawyer, with family origins from the Italian Ciociaria.
BUY THE GRANDPARENTS' VILLAGE
The Di Ciacca family's story is that of many poor Italian families who lived in places with no future. The famous villages on which Italy is now betting. The place of origin, to emigrate to Scotland, left by Cesidio's grandparents is Ciacca, almost a village, in the municipality of Picinisco, in the province of Frosinone, in the heart of the Abruzzo National Park.

CESIDIO OF CIACCA
Cesidio, with his family now settled in Scotland, was born in Cockenzie, a fishing village near Edinburgh. He studied and made his fortune, becoming a successful corporate lawyer. At that point, he decided to return to his roots and bought up his grandparents' small village, piece by piece. First one house, then another, then a four-story building where he set up a building hotel, called Sotto le stelle. But the most adventurous and courageous part of the project is the purchase of thirty hectares of land from 140 different owners (one was 102 years old) to bring back to this area the ancient grapes and the excellent fino that had been produced since the 16th century.
