ORGANIC FARMING SECONDIGLIANO PRISON
The idea of working within a penitentiary was born to give relief to a system where, due to overcrowding, it is not always possible to guarantee prisoners a authentic rehabilitation path. A right enshrined in Article 27 of the Constitution: "Punishments cannot consist of treatment contrary to the sense of humanity and must aim at the re-education of the convicted person." This provision, if respected, would yield excellent results. According to data from the XIII Report on conditions of detention, edited byAntigone Association ObservatoryIn fact, the recidivism rate of ex-prisoners is significantly reduced in cases where they had a job during their detention.
