C-PLANT: From pizzeria ash to household detergent

A sustainable detergent made from pizzeria ash. The idea came from class 3C of the Sensale high school in Nocera Inferiore, in the province of Salerno, and represents a small but significant project. circular economy. Able to reduce waste and disposal problems (due to the ash to be eliminated) and not to waste a precious raw material to make a green product for household cleaning.

C-PLANT THE DETERGENT MADE FROM ASHES

The team collects waste ash from pizzerias, local restaurants, and individual residents to produce a completely eco-friendly detergent. This product was created to address the high levels of ash produced by pizzerias in Salerno. Five partnerships are already in place with local pizzerias and restaurants. The ash is collected along with the waste sorting and taken to the recycling center. This partnership also extends to private individuals who bring their ash to certain locations around the city. This way, the raw materials derived from the ash are recovered. Once recovered, the ash is filtered through special filters and water is added. Finally, it is boiled and left to rest for a few days. ash lye It is the residue that forms the detergent.

NOCERA INFERIORE SENSALE HIGH SCHOOL

The detergent patented by students at Sensale High School in Nocera Inferiore is highly suitable for cleaning pots and pans. Initial tests were conducted by the class and are still underway. The project was proposed to the municipality, which offered several spaces where the class could work and experiment. The students are in the initial testing phase and are starting to make themselves known by donating samples for testing. Further enhancing the project's eco-sustainability is the packaging, made entirely from recycled plastic using a 3D printer. A single bottle of detergent made by C-PLANT costs less than a regular detergent. The goal is to increase green spaces in the local area and encourage the circular economy through awareness campaigns and ecological projects at the ash producers themselves. Additionally, a portion of the company's profits are donated to organizations such as "Ridiamo vita al Castello," which works to protect and enhance the Parco Fiengo Castle, a symbol of Nocera Inferiore.
