THE NEW EDITION OF LIGHT UP –

What is it about? The little ones help their peers who are having difficulty doing their homework at school, finding playmates, and getting out of loneliness. Some also participate in a reintegration program for the children of ex-convict mothers recently released from prison. And still others help clean up the city's parks and green spaces. Or they organize musical performances in retirement homes.

Collaboration between children and young people, associations, and schools works very well in a city where volunteering has a long tradition and represents a strength in citizens' active participation in public life. Solidarity, sharing, civic sense: these are things we learn at a young age.. And “Light Up!” is the right project to try.
