One in three drivers throws something out of the window while driving. And 95 percent of drivers confess to having seen other drivers throw anything while driving. Plastic bottles, cigarette butts, paper, cans, chewing gum, packages of cigarettes empty. And even diapers. The same goes for cigarette butts: almost half of drivers have the habit of not putting out their cigarettes in the passenger compartment, in a normal ashtray, but of throwing them into the street from the window.
This data comes from field investigations by the Highway Police and environmental associations and make you think because of their size.
