Ingredients

  • 1 kg of apples
  • 30 g butter
  • 60 grams of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ lemon juice

What you need for the crumble

  • 180 grams of flour
  • 130 g butter
  • 120 gr of brown sugar

Preparation

  • Cut the apples into medium-sized cubes. Melt the butter in a pan and then add the apples, lemon juice, sugar, and the teaspoon of cinnamonCook, stirring well, over low heat for one minute.
  • Let it rest and then proceed with the crumble preparation. Pour the flour into a bowl, add the brown sugar and diced butter, and mix well until the ingredients are well combined.
  • Pour the batter into a previously buttered pan, add a layer of apples and then cover with the pastry crumbs.
  • Bake in the oven at 180°C for about half an hour, until the surface of the cake is golden and crispy.
  • Serve the crumble while still hot or warm, accompanied with a scoop of gelato.
