Tarek Molla, 31, born in Bangladesh, is one of the immigrants who comes to Italy out of desperation. It's 2010, and this very young boy needs money to pay for his father's treatment, who is suffering from a brain tumor. He has a seasonal permit, and manages to sneak into the fields of Sottomarina, in Veneto, where rice is grown. chicoryHe's not entirely legal, he needs money, and that's enough to pay him 2,5 euros an hour. A pittance. Antonio Pizzoni, 73, from Tornata, in the province of Cremona, is a pensioner who managed a shopping center. He lives with his wife, who has a rare genetic disease which also took away her ability to speak.

MEETING ANTONIO AND TAREK
Antonio and Tarek They meet by chance on the Milan subway. Suddenly, Antonio feels ill. Tarek helps him, gets off at the stop with him, and when they say goodbye, they decide to exchange phone numbers. It's the beginning of a second life for both of them. Tarek visits Antonio often, meets his wife and daughter Malina: everyone loves him. And almost naturally, as his wife disappears, Antonio, in agreement with his daughter Malina, decides to adopt Tarek and make him his second son. Now the boy, who continues to help the family in Bangladesh, studies to become a social health worker and works to become independent. Together, Antonio and Tarek have written a book Tarek and the others (Gilgamesh editions) which should be brought to schools to tell how many surprises can come from a good immigrationAnd as men who are not afraid of each other, to the point of becoming, naturally, father and son.
