How to make almond butter

  • 2 cups (400 gr) almonds

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan-assisted). Toast the almonds for about 10 minutes, remove them from the oven, and let them cool for a few minutes.
  • Place the almonds in a food processor, season with salt, and process for about 15 minutes, until smooth and creamy. Sometimes the ground almonds stick to the sides of the processor during processing; if this happens, remove them.
  • Transfer the butter to an airtight jar: you can store it at room temperature for about a week.
