An entrepreneur who knows how to look far ahead, and certainly doesn't give this gift just out of generosity

The group's approximately 600 employees At the Antico Vinaio They'll hardly forget Christmas 2024. Under the tree, they found a series of gifts from company boss Tommaso Mazzanti. First, a special bonus of €3 in the form of company benefits, which essentially translates to cash. Second, an extra week of vacation. And finally, the chance to participate in a sort of internal lottery to win a week in the Maldives at a 5-star resort with anyone they choose (five places up for grabs).

All'Ancient Vinaio It's now a very solid company. It has 40 stores around the world (its specialty is stuffed schiacciata), from Saudi Arabia to France, and 2024 was a record year for revenue, exceeding €75 million. Mazzanti, whose family business history began with a small rotisserie in Florence, belongs to a minority of entrepreneurs with far-sighted vision, and he's certainly not making this gift out of generosity alone. He knows his employees' hardships well, with soaring inflation and salaries virtually stagnant for twenty years, and so, to motivate them and start the year on the right foot, he decided to indulge in this extra expense, which, after all, is worth no more than a million euros. Money definitely not wasted.
