In the city, in the mountains, and at the seaside. In this case, they were used 500mila to build the Morrow Royal Pavilion in Las Vegas. At first glance, you might think the walls of this curious building are made of bottles stacked on top of each other. In reality, this isn't quite the case. Looking closely at the exterior of the building, there appears to be no trace of bottles on the walls. This is because the workmanship was done using “GreenStone” blocks. It is a innovative material which is obtained by mixing finely crushed glass with a special cement derived from the ash generated by coal from thermoelectric power plants. The result is, therefore, a construction product that is practically the 100% reused materials.

The GreenStone manufacturing process also has a very low rate of carbon dioxide emissions and other pollutants and requires a lower water consumption compared to using normal red bricks and common concrete. The art of recycling therefore finds more and more space in construction. Thanks to the Morrow Royal Pavilion, not only have thousands of bottles of glass but what is interesting is that this project in GreenStone opens the way to the possibility of replacing concrete with a sustainable material and above all its massive carbon footprint.
