RECYCLING MUSEUM

Metal, plastic, fabric, electrical circuits—everything can have a second "artistic" life . This is what happens at the Recycling Museum, an online portal with a huge number of unique visitors, growing every month, offering an open and accessible showcase for both users and artists. The project was born from the Ecolight consortium , which has been involved in the management of electrical and electronic waste (WEEE) for years in compliance with current regulations. The goal of the Recycling Museum is not only to improve the collection of this type of waste, but also to raise greater civic awareness among businesses and consumers.

RECYCLING MUSEUM, THE PROJECT

The Museum collects the testimonies of all those who try to create new art forms, starting with discarded objects. This is how "throwaway" objects are transformed into design objects, furnishings, musical instruments, or even new pieces of clothing. When it comes to reinventing an old object, creativity seems to have no limits.

HOW THE RECYCLING MUSEUM PROJECT IS STRUCTURED

The Recycling Museum is an exclusively virtual project. The works of participating artists are collected in six sections : art, design, fashion, jewelry, architecture, and music. The possibility of expanding the project and opening new ad hoc sections is not excluded, thus giving everyone the visibility they deserve. Those responsible for the portal are aware that it is not possible to present everything encompassed in this very particular world in a single project, but the idea is to at least offer a glimpse into a rapidly evolving universe. This can help the theme of recycling become more familiar , with the idea that everything no longer useful can be given a new life. And become art.
