RECYCLIZE APP FOR WASTE COLLECTION

Born in Florence from an idea of a young under-30, Gregorio Manetti, Recyclize is the first application ludic on the differentiation of waste, which takes its cue from the now well-tested concept of Gamification: translatable into Italian as “gamification”, is based on the active and participatory involvement of those who use the app, and is nothing more than the use of elements borrowed from games in different contexts, even very far from the gaming world.
La collection, as well as raising awareness among users regarding the correct disposal of waste, is normally associated with social or institutional communication campaigns, and it is the first time in Italy that a real campaign has been linked to the waste issue game, intended for children. But also for adults, with the same educational rather than recreational purposes.

RECYCLIZE APP

A very early demo version of the game was released in May 2018 and is available for free on Google Play and App Store. The application, which is and will always remain free, has a simple and immediate operation: a series of waste items falling from above must be placed in the correct bins. Various game levels make the game competitive and fun.

The version currently available on the stores is playable and continuously updated. The team's engineers are currently working on new features and a improved user experience, such as the ability to customize the gaming experience based on your municipality of residence. For example, the in-game bins and their colors will change based on the municipality entered during registration.

The game's aim is also to detach waste sorting from the idea of something that must be done simply because the law requires it. The app supports the zero waste plan already successfully applied by several dozen municipal administrations in our country, whose separate waste collection is a source of pride both from an economic point of view and in terms of the efficiency of the services. more aware citizen can demand greater attention from the competent authorities and, through its consumer choices, influence the economic entities active on the market, persuading them to be more responsible with respect to sustainability and respect for our planet.
