WHALE MASSACRE

The massacre continues, the environmentalists They protest, international courts issue sentences, but the murderers don't care. And they continue on their way. This is the gist of yet another timely whale slaughter in the region ofAntarctic by Japanese hunters.

The toll, denounced by a report by the International Whaling Commission (IWC), is very heavy: they were killed 333 whales, and what is even more serious is that the group includes 122 pregnant females e 144 puppies.

WHALE MASSACRE IN JAPAN

The interests at stake are enormous and the Japanese are not giving up an inch of their domination in the whaling sector. In this case, the Tokyo government has defended everything and everyone with a truly ridiculous justification: "The whales were killed for reasons related to the scientific research". A false statement, evidently, and even if it were true, the answer is simple: we really don't know what to do with scientific research that uses these methods.

PREGNANT WHALES KILLED IN JAPAN

The arrogance of the Japanese government is also demonstrated by the contempt shown towards any international intervention to stop the slaughter of whales. Already in 2014, for example, the International Court of Justice in The Hague issued, by a majority, a ruling declaring illegal la whale hunt in the Antarctic region. The Japanese first promised to comply with the verdict, then completely ignored it. The same goes for the thousands of complaints and pressure from the international scientific community: for Japan, the slaughter of whales is a taboo that no one can question. And the scientific research the government is talking about is nothing more than a study on marine mammals in Antartide and in Australia. To be updated every year with massacres.
