All you need is water and Marseille soap to make an excellent homemade liquid laundry detergent. It has a few advantages: you save money, you don't pollute, and you get a natural and effective wash.
Necessary
- 4 liters of water
- 1 bar of Marseille soap
Method
- Get a large enough saucepan and pour in 4 litres of water.
- Bring the water to a boil and in the meantime grate a bar of Marseille soap (the brand is up to you).
- As soon as the water starts to boil, turn off the gas and add the Marseille soap flakes: a few moments and the soap will dissolve completely.
- To finish, add four heaped tablespoons of bicarbonate and here is your homemade laundry detergent ready for the washing machine.
How to use
When washing, homemade liquid laundry detergent made with water and Marseille soap is used as follows:
- Pour two spoons inside the measuring cup of the washing machine
- In the case of white garments, Leave them to soak overnight and then continue with the washing machine in the morning.
- Since detergent tends to be quite thick, when you pour it into the tray make sure it flows down into the basket.
- If you want to use the detergent directly in the washing machine door, Before pouring it, dilute the two spoons in a glass with hot water.
