HOW TO MAKE A PIRATE COSTUME FOR KIDS
Making a mask Making a pirate costume with whatever you have at home is very simple and can even be fun if you involve the children themselves: girls and boys. Cartoons on TV and movies in theaters have made little ones fascinated by this somewhat magical figure who searches for immense treasures in the world's seas. Let's see how to make them a beautiful, recycled mask in the "Don't Waste" style.

Carnival It's the happiest holiday of the year, and with this costume, kids will feel just like real pirates, complete with skulls, stripes, rips, and holes. But don't just leave the costume for Carnival: put it in a basket with old scarves, gloves, bags, backpacks, and hats, and create a costume corner for Carnival play all year round.
Necessary
- A red and white striped shirt
- A vest
- A pair of black trousers
- A black or white headband
- Hot glue
- Scissors
- Black and white permanent marker
- Black tulle
- Black felt scraps
- Large elastic band
- Costume jewelry necklaces with pearls, skulls…
Method
- First of all, take out from the wardrobes of adults and children everything that seems themed: black scarves, headbands, bandanas, striped shirts, black trousers, white shirts and so on.
- Using your imagination and the images below, try to create your own outfit by drawing skulls on bandanas, white, or black shirts with markers.
- Once you have found and decorated the shirt with the trousers, look for a vest, if you don't have one you can cut up an old adult shirt
- Now let's move on to the pirate's distinctive features by making the bandage. Draw an oval on the felt and cut it out. Cut a large elastic band in half, large enough to fit around the child's head, and secure it to the bandage with two dots of hot glue.
- To finish off your look, look for costume jewelry necklaces and bracelets: large pearls, chains and bracelets that simulate the golden treasures of pirates.
- For little girls, you can cover the trousers with a veil of black tulle by gluing the tulle onto a belt to put on the trousers.
- If you want, you can create with the creative recycling, even the hook using the hook of a coat hanger or a small dagger by cutting out the shape from a cereal box.
