HOW TO LIVE ECO-FRIENDLY
Il I don't waste as a philosophy to change the world starting from small gesturesIn the United States, a girl seems to have made this slogan her own and for years now, she has become a true champion of "zero waste". Her name is Lauren Singer, is 28 years old, has a degree in Environmental Sciences and, by making radical but effective choices, has become a example to follow. For some time now, in fact, he has been buying his fashionable clothes only in second-hand shops, he does his shopping exclusively in neighborhood Markets to avoid plastic and cardboard packaging and produce it yourself at home detergents and the toothpaste.

LAUREAN SINGER AND HER "ZERO WASTE" PHILOSOPHY
Zero waste: this is Lauren's life philosophy, which seeks to reduce her environmental impact by living only with what's strictly necessary. She shares her vision on her blog. Trash is for tossers In it, she explains that it all began when, during lunch at New York University where she was studying, she realized how much waste a single person produced every day. So she started carrying her meals around in reusable glass containers and began her lifestyle of saving and avoiding waste.
A lifestyle that hasn't led her to deprive herself of anything: from the toothbrush that chooses only bamboo with recyclable bristles and therefore easy to dispose of in the compost bin to the products for the makeover made from recycled and recyclable materials and made with certified organic raw materials. Her initiatives have been so successful that she has recently started publishing video tutorials explaining how not to create waste.
LIVE AND SHOP IN AN ECO-FRIENDLY AND WASTE-FREE WAY
Never a paper napkin: if she needs a handkerchief, she always has a cotton one in her bag and when she leaves the house she always carries an empty bottle of water and a cotton shopping bagShe's a vegetarian and when she goes grocery shopping she uses glass containers that she fills with loose produce.
Lauren's next goal will now be to create and launch her own line of natural detergents made using only three ingredients: Marseille soap, baking soda, and sodium carbonate. A project launched on Kickstarter crowdfunding platform and which, in a short time, allowed her to raise 41 thousand dollars.
Lauren's initiative is important and one we can all try to implement in our daily lives.
