• There are also some good ones on the market ultrasonic deterrents capable of covering an area of ​​about 40 square meters; or use olfactory deterrents, which emit odors that are completely harmless to people and pets but unbearable to pigeons. You and your children can also try making a visual deterrent by making a large owl silhouette, highlighting its eyes, and hanging it on the windows.
• Even a pot with a particularly spicy plant, such as the Chili pepper, can be an excellent deterrent for pigeons, which will run away.
• If you have at home a toy snake, of the rubber ones used by children, place it on the windowsill, remembering to change its position often, to make the birds believe it is real, since these birds are able to understand, and very quickly, whether it is an inanimate and therefore harmless object.
• If there are cracks or holes in the wall of your balcony, in which pigeons can nest, make sure to cover them with cement, nets or whatever else is useful for the purpose.
• If you put little bowls with pepper or cinnamon on the balcony or terrace, you will keep the pigeons away because they do not appreciate the smell.
