In Greece, there's a bar that welcomes stray dogs every night to protect them from the cold.

HOW TO HELP STRAY DOGS –

Initiatives to provide assistance to stray animals and allow them to spend the night in a place sheltered from the cold are increasing, especially when temperatures become particularly freezing. And while in Italy, specifically in Pistoia, the local section of ENPA, in agreement with the Municipality, has decided to activate a night-time reception service for the dogs of the homeless, On the Greek island of Lesbos, however, there is a bar that has decided to open its doors to stray dogs..

HOTT SPOTT MYTYLENE LESBONS GREECE –

This is the “Hott Spott” bar in Mytilene, a town of 36 inhabitants, where at night, as soon as the last customers leave, the owner lets stray dogs in.

As we can see in the image published on Facebook, the animals sleep peacefully on the sofas in the restaurant.

The crisis that has deeply affected Greece has not spared pets: Over the last few years, there has been a significant increase in cases of abandonment of dogs of all breeds and ages.There are even over a million stray dogs in Greece. Not to mention that environmental associations and kennels no longer receive any funding from the state.

A great initiative that we hope will soon be replicated by many other facilities and venues: Unfortunately, every year, many stray dogs die during the winter season due to the cold and the worsening of any pathologies caused by low temperatures.It really takes very little to help animals in need.
