From nuclear to solarThanks to an Italian company specializing in the construction of renewable energy plants, Fukushima remains remembered around the world as one of the worst environmental disasters in human history.
FUKUSHIMA FOCUSES ON SOLAR ENERGY
On March 11, 2011, a terrible earthquake of magnitude 8,9 struck the northeastern part of Japan. Then came the tsunami that overwhelmed the reactors of the Fukushima nuclear power plant. A disaster. With 15.900 deaths and nearly half a million displaced. Since then, the Japan has thought of reducing the share of energy produced through the nuclear, but the dismantling of the Fukushima plant is proceeding at a snail's pace. Meanwhile, the local prefecture has set a new goal: to achieve 100% renewable energy production as soon as possible. Starting with solar.

INFRASTRUTTURE SPA ITALIAN COMPANY
And here it comes Infrastructure SpA, Italian company, founded in 1994 by Pier Francesco Rimbotti, which won the contract to build a solar plant on an 8-hectare area with 9.760 solar panels in the Litate area of Fukushima Prefecture. The paradoxical thing about this story is that Rimbotti's company cleans the air in Japan, is a market leader in solar energy systems in South America, but struggles to build such projects in Italy. Even a simple system is difficult to build in Italy. balcony photovoltaic.
