Its true, only home is the forest of Val di Non in Trentino. Ferruccio Valentini, known to all as Fèro, safeguards and does not waste precious knowledge, which he uses liberally, first and foremost, in his daily life. A man who doesn't chase television fame, nor frantically seeks followers on the Internet: Fèro defends every day, his long adventure of those who have always lived in nature.
He's not a guru, nor a doctor, but rather simply recommends infusions. And what's truly extraordinary is his lifestyle: Fèro works, eats, and heals himself only with what he collects, following the cycles of nature and the seasons.
From apples to mushrooms, from dandelion (with his roots he prepares a genuine coffee) to cheeses, even honey: Ferruccio's diet lacks nothing, just as daily exercise, walks in the woods, healthy air, help him, in a completely simple and natural way, to stay in excellent shape.
His specialty, and also his main activity, is to collect wild herbs to prepare decoctions, which he pairs with liqueurs and brandies. And to bring order to his thoughts, too, Fèro Valentini wrote the book "The Alchemist of the Forest" (Ponte alle Grazie editions), in which he recounts his life and his specialties with herbs gathered in the forest. He makes it clear that "these are decoctions, not therapies."
