Deaf from birth, as a child he discovered the beauty of music and he never lost hope of playing. So much so that he succeeded and became a pianist capable of performing concerts in Italy and abroad. And of teaching music at a conservatory.
DAVIVE, DEAF FROM BIRTH, BECAME A SUCCESSFUL PIANIST
Already in middle school Davide Santacolomba, during music lessons when his classmates didn't even listen to the teacher, he asked to play on the piano keyboard. Today he is a 34-year-old man, who never stopped in his adventure as a music lover. Always supported by his father and mother (a parish chorister), despite his deafness and the attempts to discourage him by a professor at the Conservatory, Davide managed to study music In Palermo. And at just 26, he became a piano teacher, slightly improving his ability to hear music thanks to a cochlear implant. A small device that allows him to improve communication and hear almost all the sounds on the keyboard. A truly bionic ear, invaluable for a deaf pianist.

Davide Santacolomba's Concerts and Tours
Thanks to his unstoppable passion, Davide Santacolomba has become a master of piano at the Messina Conservatory. Meanwhile, he continues his musical career with concerts and tours.
