“Born to not pollute” in Friuli Venezia Giulia is a project to promote washable diapers, born with a single regional bonus active everywhere, and then structured on a municipal basis. Many local administrations they keep giving a refund (usually 50 percent of the cost or with ceilings of 100-150 euros), if there is a child under 2-3 years old in the family. The only requirement is residency. For example, Parents Children residing in Amaro, Cavazzo Carnico or Verzegnis can submit their application in the following ways:
- Directly, delivering it to the relevant office, at the Protocol Office or at the Citizens' Help Desk during public opening hours
- By fax
- By mail (ordinary – in this case there is no guarantee of receipt – or registered)
- Via “simple” email, to the address of the relevant office or the Municipality, if digitally signed, or if scanned with a copy of the identity document attached (in this case there is no guarantee of receipt)
- Via certified email to the Municipality's certified email address if digitally signed, or if scanned with a copy of the identity document attached, in this case the sending has the same value as a registered letter with return receipt
The contribution is equal to 50 percent of the expenditure incurred, up to a maximum amount payable per single child of:
- 200,00 euros, if the purchase(s) take place within the day before the child's first birthday;
- 100,00 euros, if the purchase(s) take place between the day the child turns one year old and the day before he or she turns two years old;
- 50,00 euros, if the purchase(s) take place between the day the child turns two years old and the day before he/she turns three years old.
The request for the granting of the benefit can be submitted more than once for different purchases up to the child's three years of age, It can also cover multiple non-concurrent purchases (with a minimum spend of 50 euros), subject to the limits indicated above and the maximum overall contribution that can be paid over the three years set at 200 euros.
