GRILLED VEGETABLE BURGER RECIPES
Here's a summer recipe to learn how to make grilled veggie burgers:
Ingredients
- 1 can of beans
- 1/2 cup vegan egg substitute
- 1/2 cup button mushrooms
- 4 cloves of garlic, peeled
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1⁄2 cup red onions
- 1 chopped carrot
- 1⁄2 cup red bell pepper
- 4 fresh basil leaves
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons parsley leaves
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons of tomato puree
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
Method
Combine all the ingredients in a blender; blend until coarsely chopped, then add a cup of rolled oats to give it a firm consistency. Divide the mixture into 3-cm-diameter medallions. Let them cool for at least 3 hours on a tray covered with plastic wrap.
Heat both a grill and an oven over medium-high heat. Place the medallions in the oven, about 10 cm from the heat source, for 4-6 minutes, until golden brown (watch carefully; cooking times may vary), making sure they don't fall apart. Turn them once and serve immediately with the vegan focaccia.
